Rxcellence: The Ancil Carruthers Scholarship Fund

Ancil Carruthers believed a life should be spent taking care of other people—and that the opportunities we are given should be used to create opportunities for those who come after us. As a pharmacist, leader, mentor, and educator, he cared deeply about serving others, expanding access, and investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals. Before his passing, Ancil had already begun envisioning ways to expose more young people to the profession he loved and give them meaningful pathways to pursue it.

The Rxcellence: Ancil Carruthers Scholarship Fund carries that vision forward.

Funds raised will support three points of access designed to introduce, encourage, and invest in future pharmacy professionals—helping young people see what is possible and giving them opportunities to pursue it.

It is more than a scholarship. 

It is Ancil continuing to teach. 

Continuing to open doors.

Continuing to take care of people.

Continuing to build something that will outlive him.
