MetaVisions is a Tallahassee, Florida non-profit corporation organized in 1996 and granted tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) organization. MetaVisions is an indirect service provider, however, we aim to directly serve families and children in the Big Bend community by way of pilot programs and grant funding. MetaVisions is an indirect service provider, however, we aim to directly serve families and children in the Big Bend community by way of pilot programs and grant funding. Over its lifetime, MetaVisions has supported various efforts in order to fill gaps or barriers in existing pediatric systems of care including, but not limited to: maternal child health, child development, father and son attachment, families experiencing incarceration, behavioral health, autism supports and more.

Our Immediate Past Project

In December 2020, it was proposed and approved by the MetaVisions Board to begin the development of a pilot program focused on youth financial literacy and the importance of community. MetaVisions moved forward with the plan to interact with high needs youth in 4th-12th grades in person for 60-90 minutes a week fo

In December 2020, it was proposed and approved by the MetaVisions Board to begin the development of a pilot program focused on youth financial literacy and the importance of community. MetaVisions moved forward with the plan to interact with high needs youth in 4th-12th grades in person for 60-90 minutes a week for 10 weeks. Should this pilot go well, the work will continue and new groups of children will participate. The curriculum will incorporate visual and hands on learning activities, a workbook to keep, interactive games, open a bank account, and the ability to earn $100 dollars along the way. We are also looking into incorporating local youth entrepreneurs to share their experiences and a local bank to assist the children in understanding money, bank accounts, credit, and budgeting. With a big thanks to BoysTown of North Florida, this pilot will first be held on their residential campus with an average of 25-35 youth each week starting June 2021.
